Journal ArticleDOI

The effects of particle size, density and shape on margination of nanoparticles in microcirculation.

TL;DR: The design of nanoparticles strongly affects their margination, a key factor for their ultimate in vivo effectiveness, and the particle density showed an even more essential role, as it was observed that the lighter particles marginated significantly more.
Journal ArticleDOI

Imaging Metastasis Using an Integrin-Targeting Chain-Shaped Nanoparticle

TL;DR: A chain-shaped nanoparticle for vascular targeting based on an α(v)β(3) integrin-targeted nanochain particle composed of four iron oxide nanospheres chemically linked in a linear assembly showed high specificity in a highly aggressive breast tumor model in mice.
Journal ArticleDOI

A Rapid Seeding Technique for the Assembly of Large Cell/Scaffold Composite Constructs

TL;DR: The results show that, under the conditions tested, hMSCs were quantitatively and homogeneously loaded into the scaffolds with 90+% retention rates after 24 h in perfusion culture with no negative effect on cell viability or chondrogenic potential.
