Journal ArticleDOI
SnRNAs, SnRNPs, and RNA processing.
TL;DR: A large number of small RNAs have been sequenced for the first time and some have shown the ability to be passed on to their larger cousins through contact chemoreception and “cell reprograming”.
Journal ArticleDOI
Silver staining, immunofluorescence, and immunoelectron microscopic localization of nucleolar phosphoproteins B23 and C23
TL;DR: A comparison of toluidine blue staining specific for RNA and B23 immunostaining demonstrated that protein B23 was associated with RNA-containing regions of the nucleolus and was absent from the fibrillar centers.
Journal ArticleDOI
Immunoelectron microscopic localization of snRNPs.
TL;DR: It is notable that the size and density of the immunostained particles in the nuclear network during interphase, is similar to that of interchromatinic granules.
Journal ArticleDOI
Effects of thioacetamide on the composition and biosynthesis of nucleolar and nuclear ribonucleic acid in rat liver.
TL;DR: In this study it was found that administration of thioacetamide increased the nuclear RNA pool in liver, mainly by increasing the synthesis of guanineand cytosine-rich 35 S and 45 S RNA in the nucleolar fraction.
