Polynuclear molybdenum and tungsten complexes of 3-hydroxypicolinic acid and the crystal structures of (nBu4N)2[Mo4O12(picOH)2] and (nHex4N)2[Mo2O6(picOH)2]
TL;DR: The tetramolybdate 1 containing two coordinatively bound 3-hydroxypicolinic anions is a rare example of a discrete tetranuclear molybdenum-oxo cluster showing a Mo4O12 core with the moly bdenum centres bonded through oxo bridges only; the organic ligands being in a peripheral position as discussed by the authors.

Lanthanide complexes as oxidation catalysts for alcohols and alkenes
TL;DR: In this article, it was shown that the lanthanide center plays little or no catalytic role in a number of such oxidations and the effectiveness of the cerium (IV)-bromate catalytic system for the oxidation of alcohols is confirmed and its use extended.
