Journal ArticleDOI
Resveratrol mitigates lipopolysaccharide- and Aβ-mediated microglial inflammation by inhibiting the TLR4/NF-κB/STAT signaling cascade.
Hemachander Capiralla,Valérie Vingtdeux,Haitian Zhao,Roman Sankowski,Yousef Al-Abed,Peter Davies,Peter Davies,Philippe Marambaud +7 more
TL;DR: The authors showed that resveratrol, a natural polyphenol associated with anti-inflammatory effects and currently in clinical trials for AD, prevented the activation of macrophages and microglial BV-2 cells treated with TLR4 ligand, lipopolysaccharide (LPS).
Journal ArticleDOI
Identification of potent small‐molecule inhibitors of STAT3 with anti‐inflammatory properties in RAW 264.7 macrophages
Hemachander Capiralla,Valérie Vingtdeux,Jeganathan Venkatesh,Ute Dreses-Werringloer,Haitian Zhao,Peter Davies,Peter Davies,Philippe Marambaud +7 more
TL;DR: The effect of the two small‐molecule analogs on STAT3 phosphorylation could be prevented by inhibitors of protein tyrosine phosphatases, indicating that the small molecules acted by promoting dephosphorylation of STAT3 by protein tyosine phosph atases.
Journal ArticleDOI
Gas1 interferes with AβPP trafficking by facilitating the accumulation of immature AβPP in endoplasmic reticulum-associated raft subdomains.
Julien Chapuis,Valérie Vingtdeux,Hemachander Capiralla,Peter Davies,Peter Davies,Philippe Marambaud +5 more
TL;DR: It is shown that Gas1 co-partitioned and formed a complex with A βPP in raft fractions, wherein Gas1 overexpression triggered immature AβPP accumulation, and interfered with Aβ PP trafficking by interacting with AαPP to facilitate its translocation into specialized ER-associated rafts where immature A αβPP accumulated.
