Journal ArticleDOI

Oriented Salts: Dimension‐Controlled Charge‐by‐Charge Assemblies from Planar Receptor–Anion Complexes

TL;DR: The introduction of planar cations in place of bulky TBA cations may form fine-tuned supramolecular organized structures as soft materials using p–p stacking and electrostatic interactions along with van der Waals forces.
Journal ArticleDOI

Influence of Molecular Weight Dispersity of Poly{2-(perfluorooctyl)ethyl acrylate} Brushes on Their Molecular Aggregation States and Wetting Behavior

TL;DR: In this article, the relationship between the molecular aggregation states and water repellency of the perfluoroalkyl (Rf) groups of poly{2-(perfluorooctyl)ethyl acrylate} (poly(FA-C8)) brush thin films with broad and narrow molecular weight dispersities (MWDs) were analyzed by grazing incidence wide-angle X-ray diffraction (GI-WAXD) and water contact angle measurements.
Journal ArticleDOI

Encapsulation of a Hydrophobic Drug into a Polymer-Micelle Core Explored with Synchrotron SAXS

TL;DR: Analysis of SAXS data on aqueous solutions of PEG-P(Asp(Bzl) with LE540 indicated that the core radius increases sigmoidally from 5.9 to 6.9 nm upon addition of LE540 whereas the shell radius stayed at 12.5-12.8 nm.
Journal ArticleDOI

Orientation of poly(vinyl alcohol) nanofiber and crystallites in non-woven electrospun nanofiber mats under uniaxial stretching

TL;DR: In this article, the development of macroscopic nanofiber orientation and microscopic crystallite and molecular chain orientation have been investigated during uniaxial stretching of electrospun polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) non-woven mat.
