TL;DR: The results indicate that the T790M mutation is sometimes present in a minor population of tumor cells during the development of NSCLC and suggest that the detection of small fractions of T790m mutant alleles may be useful for predicting gefitinib resistance of NSclCs with sensitive EGFR mutations.

Pulmonary function, postoperative pain, and serum cytokine level after lobectomy: a comparison of VATS and conventional procedure.
TL;DR: Lobectomy by the VATS approach generates less pain and cytokine production, and preserves better pulmonary function in the early postoperative phase, which is statistically better than the standard posterolateral thoracotomy approach.
