Tigliane Diterpenoids from the Euphorbiaceae and Thymelaeaceae Families

TL;DR: Families Hong-Bing Wang,*, Xiao-Yang Wang,†,‡ Li-Ping Liu,† Guo-Wei Qin, and Ting-Guo Kang are involved in the research.
Journal ArticleDOI

Acacetin, a natural flavone, selectively inhibits human atrial repolarization potassium currents and prevents atrial fibrillation in dogs

TL;DR: It is demonstrated that the natural compound acacetin is an atrium-selective agent that prolongs the atrial effective refractory period without prolonging the corrected QT interval and effectively prevents AF in anesthetized dogs after intraduodenal administration.
Journal ArticleDOI

Diterpenoids from the roots of Euphorbia fischeriana.

TL;DR: In this paper, seven new diterpenoids, 3alpha,17-dihydroxy-ent-pimara-8(14),15-diene (1), 7beta,11beta,12beta-trihexadecacetate (6), and 12-deoxyphorbol-13-(9Z)-octadecanoate-20-acetate(7), were isolated from the dried roots of Euphorbia fischeriana.
Journal ArticleDOI

Selective Elevation of Adiponectin Production by the Natural Compounds Derived from a Medicinal Herb Alleviates Insulin Resistance and Glucose Intolerance in Obese Mice

TL;DR: It is suggested that pharmacological elevation of circulating adiponectin alone is sufficient to ameliorate insulin resistance and diabetes and support the use of adip onectin as a biomarker for future drug discovery.
Journal ArticleDOI

Diterpenoids from the roots of Euphorbia fischeriana

TL;DR: Six tigliane-type diterpenoid compounds isolated from the roots of Euphorbia fischeriana showed cytotoxicity for MDA-MB-231 cells with an IC50 value of 6.694 μM and were naturally obtained for the first time.
