TL;DR: Assessment results clearly demonstrated the superiority of the nanoparticles over organic fluorescent dye molecules and quantum dots in probe labeling for sensitive target detection and demonstrate the potential to apply these newly developed fluorescent nanoparticles in various biodetection systems.
