Journal ArticleDOI

Treatment of organic waste using thermal plasma pyrolysis technology

TL;DR: In this article, the principles of thermal plasma pyrolysis processes are outlined and a discussion of recent research activities about organic waste treatment using thermal plasminization technology is discussed.
Journal ArticleDOI

Pyrolysis of water hyacinth biomass parts: Bioenergy, gas emissions, and by-products using TG-FTIR and Py-GC/MS analyses

TL;DR: In this paper, the pyrolytic bioenergy potential of water hyacinth roots (WHR), stems and leaves (WHSL) was quantified by assessing their physicochemical properties.
Journal ArticleDOI

Pyrolysis treatment of waste tire powder in a capacitively coupled RF plasma reactor

TL;DR: In this paper, a capacitively coupled radio-frequency (RF) plasma reactor was tested mainly for the purpose of solid waste treatment, and it was found that using a RF input power between 1600 and 2000 W and a reactor pressure between 3000 and 8000 P (absolute pressure), a reactive plasma environment with a gas temperature between 1200 and 1800 K can be reached in this lab scale reactor.
Journal ArticleDOI

Co-pyrolytic mechanisms and products of textile dyeing sludge and durian shell in changing operational conditions

TL;DR: In this paper, the effects of co-pyrolysis mechanisms and products (gases and solids) and their dynamics in response to the atmosphere type, blend ratio, heating rate, temperature, and their interactions were investigated.
Journal ArticleDOI

Optimizing bioenergy and by-product outputs from durian shell pyrolysis

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors quantified the bioenergy and byproduct outputs of the Durian shells pyrolysis as a function of heating rate (5, 10, 20, and 40 K/min).
