Journal ArticleDOI

Extractive Desulfurization Using Fe-Containing Ionic Liquids

TL;DR: In this paper, FeIII-containing ionic liquids (ILs) were used as effective extractants for the desulfurization of a model oil containing dibenzothiophene (DBT).
Journal ArticleDOI

Fixation of nanosized proton transport channels in membranes

TL;DR: In this paper, the structure of proton transport channels is controlled and fixed in sulfonated poly(styrene-b-butadiene)-b-styrene (SBS) copolymer membranes.
Journal ArticleDOI

Imidazolium zinc tetrahalide-catalyzed coupling reaction of CO2 and ethylene oxide or propylene oxide

TL;DR: In this article, the catalytic activity of imidazolium zinc tetrahalide was found to be in the order of [ZnBr 4 ] 2− >[ZnCl 4 ] 1− ⪢[Zbr 2 Cl 2 ] 2 − ⫢ [Zbr 4 ] 4−. The turnover frequencies increased with increasing temperature, but remained almost unchanged with the increase of pressure.
Journal ArticleDOI

Well-defined highly active heterogeneous catalyst system for the coupling reactions of carbon dioxide and epoxides

TL;DR: The poly(4-vinylpyridine)-supported zinc halide catalysts, prepared from a reaction of ZnX2 and poly( 4V pyridine), exhibit high selectivity and activity for the coupling reaction of CO2 and ethylene oxide or propylene oxide as discussed by the authors.
