Learning from Multiple Classifier Systems: Perspectives for Improving Decision Making of QSAR Models in Medicinal Chemistry
Hai Pham-The,Nguyen Hai Nam,Doan-Viet Nga,Dang Thanh Hai,Karel Diéguez-Santana,Yovani Marrero-Poncee,Juan A. Castillo-Garit,Gerardo M. Casañola-Martin,Huong Le-Thi-Thu +8 more
TL;DR: MCS is presented as a next generation of QSAR modeling techniques and the chance to mining the vast number of models already published in the literature is discussed and ensemble approaches on modeling histone deacetylase (HDACs) inhibitors are illustrated.
Journal ArticleDOI
Generalized Molecular Descriptors Derived From Event-Based Discrete Derivative.
Oscar Martínez-Santiago,Reisel Millán Cabrera,Yovani Marrero-Ponce,Stephen J. Barigye,Huong Le-Thi-Thu,F. Javier Torres,Cesar H. Zambrano,Ivan Yaber-Goenaga,Maykel Cruz-Monteagudo,Yoan Martínez López,Facundo Pérez Giménez,Francisco Torrens +11 more
TL;DR: A generalized approach for molecular structure characterization is introduced, based on the relation frequency matrix (F) representation of the molecular graph and the subsequent calculation of the corresponding discrete derivative over a pair of elements (atoms), which shows that these new eventbased indices constitute a powerful approach for chemoinformatics studies.
Journal ArticleDOI
Atom based linear index descriptors in QSAR-machine learning classifiers for the prediction of ubiquitin-proteasome pathway activity
Gerardo M. Casañola-Martin,Gerardo M. Casañola-Martin,Hai Pham-The,Juan A. Castillo-Garit,Huong Le-Thi-Thu +4 more
TL;DR: The atom-based linear index together with different classic and machine learning classification techniques in a QSAR (quantitative structure-activity relationship) study contributes as a useful tool for the early detection of novel UPP inhibitors for the treatment of the multiple myeloma and related diseases.
Journal ArticleDOI
Exploration of Some Thiazolidine-2,4-dione and 2-Oxoindoline Derivatives Incorporating 3,4,5-Trimethoxybenzyl Moiety as Novel Anticancer Agents
Le Cong Huan,Hai Pham-The,Huong Le-Thi-Thu,Tran Phuong Thao,Do Thi Nguyet Que,Nguyen-Thu Trang,Phan Thi Phuong Dung,Minji Pyo,Sang-Bae Han,Nguyen Thi Thuan,Nguyen Hai Nam +10 more
Curcuma longa extract suppresses inflammation in mice with DSS-induced acute colitis
TL;DR: The results suggest that C. longa extract exerts beneficial effects on experimental colitis; therefore, it is proposed that this extract may have therapeutic implications for ulcerative colitis.
