Baumgartner,Michael Eisterer,Johannes Bernardi,Andrea Malagoli,Valeria Braccini,Maurizio Vignolo,Marina Putti,Carlo Ferdeghini +32 more
TL;DR: The Conductor Development Program aiming to reach a non-copper critical current density of 1500 A/mm 2 at 16 T and 4.2 K has been launched by CERN, with the involvement of industry and laboratories worldwide.
Journal ArticleDOI
Bending Strain Effects on the Critical Current in Cu and Cu–Nb–Stabilized YBCO-Coated Conductor Tape
M. V. Polikarpova,P. A. Lukyanov,I. M. Abdyukhanov,V. I. Pantsyrny,A. E. Vorobyeva,N.E. Khlebova,S. V. Sudyev,A. K. Shikov,V. V. Guryev +8 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the dependence of normalized transport critical current, Ic/Ic0, on the bending radius of coated conductors with and without Cu-Nb stabilizing layer was investigated using the bending test probe providing the uniform bend process at 77 K and under self-field conditions.
Journal ArticleDOI
Testing of RF 100 m TF Qualification Conductor in the SULTAN Test Facility
V. Tronza,V. I. Pantsyrny,Boris Stepanov,Pierluigi Bruzzone,A. V. Paramonov,M. V. Kochetov,D. S. Kaverin,K. A. Shutov,Vitaly S. Vysotsky,A.E. Vorobieva,I. M. Abdyukhanov,M. V. Polikarpova +11 more
TL;DR: In this article, a cable-in-conduit conductor for ITER toroidal field (TF) coils is presented, which is made of Nb3Sn superconducting strands encased in a stainless steel tubular jacket.
Journal ArticleDOI
The RRR Parameter of the ITER Type Bronze-Route Cr-Coated Nb $_{3}$ Sn Strands After Different Heat Treatments
I. M. Abdyukhanov,A.E. Vorobieva,E. Dergunova,M. V. Polikarpova,K. A. Mareev,N. V. Traktirnikova,D. S. Novosilova,V. I. Pantsyrny,P. A. Lukyanov +8 more
TL;DR: Residual resistance ratio (RRR) is one of the relevant parameters for strands and cables to be used in windings of high field magnet systems as discussed by the authors. And the increase of the cable stability is provided by attaining of the high RRR-values.
Journal ArticleDOI
Production of ${\rm Nb}_{3}{\rm Sn}$ Bronze Route Strands With High Critical Current and Their Study
I. M. Abdyukhanov,A. E. Vorobyeva,N A Beliakov,E. Dergunova,K. A. Mareev,V. M. Lomaev,N. V. Tractirnikova,R. T. Aliev,A. K. Shikov +8 more
TL;DR: In this article, the performance of doped and undoped bronze strands was investigated in magnetic fields from 8 T up to 12 T at 4.2 K and it was established that the critical current density is (Jc) higher than 900 A/mm2(non-copper, diameter 0.82 mm, 4 2 K, 12 T).
