Hypothesis Testing Using Factor Score Regression: A Comparison of Four Methods
TL;DR: The bias correcting method, with the newly developed standard error, is the only suitable alternative for SEM and has a higher standard error bias than SEM, but has a comparable bias, efficiency, mean square error, power, and type I error rate.
Journal ArticleDOI
Factor score path analysis: An alternative for SEM?
Ines Devlieger,Yves Rosseel +1 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors combine this method of Croon (2002) with path analysis, resulting in Factor Score Path Analysis (FSA), which results in correct path coefficients and has some advantages over SEM: it requires smaller sample sizes, can handle more complex models and the method can correct the bias in the regression coefficients.
Journal ArticleDOI
The contribution of pupil, classroom and school level characteristics to primary school pupils' ICT competences
TL;DR: The results indicate that especially non-ICT related pupil characteristics are associated with differences in primary school pupils' ICT competences, such as introjected regulation, controlling learning style, analytic intelligence, sex and socioeconomic status.
Journal ArticleDOI
Mental Health of Refugees and Migrants during the COVID-19 Pandemic: The Role of Experienced Discrimination and Daily Stressors.
Eva Spiritus-Beerden,An Verelst,Ines Devlieger,Nina Langer Primdahl,Fábio Botelho Guedes,Antonio Chiarenza,Stéphanie De Maesschalck,Natalie Durbeej,Rocío Garrido,Margarida Gaspar de Matos,Elisabeth Ioannidi,Rebecca Murphy,Rachid Oulahal,Fatumo Osman,Beatriz Padilla,Virginia Paloma,Amer Shehadeh,Gesine Sturm,Maria van den Muijsenbergh,Katerina Vasilikou,Charles Watters,Sara Willems,Morten Skovdal,Ilse Derluyn +23 more
TL;DR: This article found that the mental health of refugees and migrants during the COVID-19 pandemic was significantly impacted, particularly for certain subgroups, (i.e., insecure housing situation and residence status, older respondents, and females) who reported experiencing higher levels of increased discrimination and increases in daily life stressors.
Journal ArticleDOI
New Developments in Factor Score Regression: Fit Indices and a Model Comparison Test:
TL;DR: Fit indices for FSR are proposed that can be used to inspect the model fit and be used for inference of the estimators on the regression coefficients and a model comparison test is introduced based on one of these newly proposed fit indices.
