Characterization of Residence Time Distribution in a Plug Flow Reactor
Journal ArticleDOI
Investigation of the Oxidative Degradation of the Synthetic Fuel Oxymethylene Dimethyl Ether
TL;DR: In this article, the degradation kinetics of oxymethylene dimethyl ether (OME) under atmospheric conditions with a focus on storage stability were investigated and it was found that hydroperoxides have a detrimental effect on the oxidation stability of the fuel and that the antioxidant butylated hydroxytoluene (BHT) inhibited the degradation and lead to a higher oxidation stability.
Journal ArticleDOI
Voltammetric Determination of Formaldehyde at Low Concentrations in the Synthetic Fuel Oxymethylene Dimethyl Ether
TL;DR: In this article, the formaldehyde content in the synthetic fuel oxymethylene dimethyl ether (OME) was measured with three different methods and the result showed that formaldehyde concentration was below 1000 mg/L.
Journal ArticleDOI
Insights into Dynamic Process Intensification for reactive distillation columns
Innokentij Bogatykh,Christian Hoffmann,V. Kozachynskyi,Markus Illner,Thomas Osterland,Thomas Wilharm,Jens-Uwe Repke +6 more
TL;DR: In this article , a closed loop control scheme is presented and validated with a dynamic simulation for reactive distillation of dimethyl ether from methanol and acetic acid, and it is shown that the column should be operated in the optimal steady state.
Book ChapterDOI
Fahrplan zu einer OME-Spezifikation (Roadmap to an OME specification)
TL;DR: In this article, the Bedeutung der Parameter "Cetanzahl", "Flammpunkt", "Gefrierpunkt", and "Oxidationsstabilitat" fur OME als Kraftstoff werden erlautert.
