Journal ArticleDOI
Dynamics of Forest Fragmentation and Connectivity Using Particle and Fractal Analysis
Ion Andronache,Marian Marin,Rico Fischer,Helmut Ahammer,Marko Radulovic,Ana-Maria Ciobotaru,Herbert F. Jelinek,Antonio Di Ieva,Radu-Daniel Pintilii,Cristian Constantin Drăghici,Grigore Vasile Herman,Alexandru-Sabin Nicula,Alexandru-Sabin Nicula,Adrian Gabriel Simion,Ioan Vlad Loghin,Daniel Constantin Diaconu,Daniel Peptenatu +16 more
TL;DR: The fractal and particle analysis provide a relevant methodological framework to further the understanding of the spatial effects of economic pressure on forestry.
Journal ArticleDOI
Ferrocenyl-Coupled N-Heterocyclic Carbene Complexes of Gold(I): A Successful Approach to Multinuclear Anticancer Drugs.
Julienne K. Muenzner,Bernhard Biersack,Alexander Albrecht,Tobias Rehm,Ulrike Lacher,Wolfgang Milius,Angela Casini,Angela Casini,Jing-Jing Zhang,Ingo Ott,Viktor Brabec,Viktor Brabec,Olga Stuchlikova,Olga Stuchlikova,Ion Andronache,Leonard Kaps,Detlef Schuppan,Detlef Schuppan,Rainer Schobert +18 more
TL;DR: Four gold(I) carbene complexes featuring 4-ferrocenyl-substituted imidazol-2-ylidene ligands were investigated for antiproliferative and antivascular properties and proved antiangiogenic in tube formation assays with endothelial cells and vascular-disruptive on real blood vessels in the chorioallantoic membrane of chicken eggs.
Journal ArticleDOI
Gold(I) biscarbene complexes derived from vascular-disrupting combretastatin A-4 address different targets and show antimetastatic potential.
Julienne K. Muenzner,Bernhard Biersack,Hussein Kalie,Ion Andronache,Leonard Kaps,Detlef Schuppan,Florenz Sasse,Rainer Schobert +7 more
TL;DR: The antiproliferative effect of the new gold biscarbene complexes in a panel of six human cancer cell lines was impressive, with low sub‐micromolar IC50 values (72 h) even against CA‐4‐refractory HT‐29 colon and multidrug‐resistant MCF‐7 breast carcinoma cells.
Journal ArticleDOI
Using Fractal Analysis in Modeling the Dynamics of Forest Areas and Economic Impact Assessment: Maramureș County, Romania, as a Case Study
Radu-Daniel Pintilii,Ion Andronache,Daniel Constantin Diaconu,Razvan Catalin Dobrea,Martina Zeleňáková,Rasmus Fensholt,Daniel Peptenatu,Cristian Constantin Drăghici,Ana-Maria Ciobotaru +8 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors used fractal analysis to quantify the spatial changes of forest resources caused by an increase of deforested areas, by using the Global Forest Change 2000-2014 database.
Journal ArticleDOI
Fractal analysis for studying the evolution of forests
Ion Andronache,Helmut Ahammer,Herbert F. Jelinek,Daniel Peptenatu,Ana M. Ciobotaru,Cristian Draghici,Radu Pintilii,Adrian Gabriel Simion,Camelia Teodorescu +8 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a new fractal fragmentation index, FFI, was proposed, which highlights the degree of compaction or non-compaction of the forest area in order to interpret geographic features.
