New Comprehensive Cytogenetic Scoring System for Primary Myelodysplastic Syndromes (MDS) and Oligoblastic Acute Myeloid Leukemia After MDS Derived From an International Database Merge
Julie Schanz,Heinz Tüchler,Francesc Solé,Mar Mallo,E. Luño,José Cervera,Isabel Granada,Barbara Hildebrandt,Marilyn L. Slovak,Kazuma Ohyashiki,Christian Steidl,Christa Fonatsch,Michael Pfeilstöcker,Thomas Nösslinger,Peter Valent,Aristoteles Giagounidis,Carlo Aul,Michael Lübbert,Reinhard Stauder,Otto Krieger,Guillermo Garcia-Manero,Stefan Faderl,Sherry Pierce,Michelle M. Le Beau,John M. Bennett,Peter L. Greenberg,Ulrich Germing,Detlef Haase +27 more
TL;DR: A new and comprehensive cytogenetic scoring system based on an international data collection of 2,902 patients with primary MDS and oligoblastic acute myeloid leukemia (AML) after MDS treated with supportive care only is proposed, providing clear prognostic classification in 91% of all patients.
Journal ArticleDOI
Incidence, characterization and prognostic significance of chromosomal abnormalities in 640 patients with primary myelodysplastic syndromes. Grupo Cooperativo Español de Citogenética Hematológica.
Francesc Solé,Blanca Espinet,Guillermo Sanz,José Cervera,Maria-Jose Calasanz,Elisa Luño,F. Prieto,Isabel Granada,J M Hernández,Cigudosa Jc,J.L. Diez,E Bureo,M L Marqués,E. Arranz,Rafael Rios,J A Martinez Climent,Teresa Vallespi,Lourdes Florensa,Soledad Woessner +18 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a consensus International Prognostic Scoring System (IPSS) for predicting outcome and planning therapy in the myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS) has been developed.
Journal ArticleDOI
Bone marrow changes in anorexia nervosa are correlated with the amount of weight loss and not with other clinical findings.
Eugenia Abella,Feliu E,Isabel Granada,Fuensanta Millá,Albert Oriol,Josep-Maria Ribera,L Sánchez-Planell,Berga L,Reverter Jc,Rozman C +9 more
TL;DR: Bone marrow aspirates and biopsy specimens were analyzed by standard morphologic procedures, and bone marrow adipocytes were studied morphometrically, and Hypoplastic or aplastic bone marrow showed an increase in bone marrow fat fraction due to an increase to adipocyte diameters, while in GDBM, fat fraction and adipocyte diameter decreased.
Journal ArticleDOI
Splenic marginal zone B-cell lymphomas: two cytogenetic subtypes, one with gain of 3q and the other with loss of 7q.
Francesc Solé,Marta Salido,Blanca Espinet,Juan Luis García,J A Martinez Climent,Isabel Granada,J M Hernández,I Benet,M A Piris,Manuela Mollejo,Pedro Martinez,Teresa Vallespi,Alicia Domingo,Sergi Serrano,Soledad Woessner,Lourdes Florensa +15 more
TL;DR: The findings support the interpretation that two forms of SMZBCL could be considered, one with gain of 3q and the other with deletions at 7q, and help clarify the etiology of splenic marginal zone B-cell lymphoma.
Journal ArticleDOI
Hepatosplenic T-gammadelta lymphoma in a patient with Crohn's disease treated with azathioprine.
José-Tomás Navarro,Josep-Maria Ribera,José-Luis Mate,Isabel Granada,Jordi Juncà,Montserrat Batlle,Fuensanta Millá,Evarist Feliu +7 more
TL;DR: A case of HS γ δ TCL with a leukaemic course in a patient with Crohn's disease who had received azathioprine during the previous 55 years is described, showing the importance of ruling out HS ε ε TCL in patients with hepatosplenomegaly, B-symptoms and any immunosuppressive condition.
