Journal ArticleDOI

Metal-based inhibition of poly(ADP-ribose) polymerase - the guardian angel of DNA.

TL;DR: In vitro combination studies of cisplatin with NAMI-A and RAPTA-T on different cancer cell lines showed that, in some cases, a synergistic effect is in operation, and the results support a model whereby displacement of zinc from the PARP-1 zinc finger by other metal ions leads to decreased PARp-1 activity.
Journal ArticleDOI

[U(Tp(Me2))2(bipy)]+: a cationic uranium(III) complex with single-molecule-magnet behavior.

TL;DR: This compound was isolated as a dark-green solid in good yield and characterized by IR and NMR spectroscopies, and its molecular structure was determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction.
Journal ArticleDOI

Radiometallated peptides for molecular imaging and targeted therapy

TL;DR: An overview of the chemical strategies explored to improve the biological performance of different families of radiometallated peptides for nuclear molecular imaging and/or targeted radionuclide tumor therapy is provided.
Journal ArticleDOI

[(Cp‐R)M(CO)3] (M=Re or 99mTc) Arylsulfonamide, Arylsulfamide, and Arylsulfamate Conjugates for Selective Targeting of Human Carbonic Anhydrase IX

TL;DR: The syntheses and in vitro evaluation of [(Cp-R)M(CO)(3)] (Cp=cyclopentadienyl, M=Re, (99m)Tc) with R being a highly potent carbonic-anhydrase-targeting vector is reported.
