Journal ArticleDOI

Radiolitically synthesized nano Ag/C catalysts for oxygen reduction and borohydride oxidation reactions in alkaline media, for potential applications in fuel cells

TL;DR: In this article, carbon-supported silver nanoparticles (Ag:NPs/C) were synthesized by gamma irradiation-induced reduction method using the poly(vinyl alcohol) or polyvinyl al alcohol)/chitosan polymer as stabilizer.
Journal ArticleDOI

Highly crystalline ramsdellite as a cathode material for near-neutral aqueous MnO2/Zn batteries

TL;DR: Chemically-prepared MnO2 containing a highly crystalline ramsdellite phase was tested as a cathode material in aqueous Zn-salt based electrolytes for the first time and has shown excellent performance and reversibility.
Journal ArticleDOI

Modification of Cu Current Collectors for Lithium Metal Batteries – A Review

TL;DR: In this paper , the authors systematically summarized the modification methods for current collector (CC), typically Cu, and served as a guide for rational design of modified Cu CCs with tailored structures and properties.
Journal ArticleDOI

Improved Poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA) based matrix as a potential solid electrolyte for electrochemical energy conversion devices, obtained by gamma irradiation

TL;DR: In this paper, a 10% PVA 25kGy membrane doped with saturated LiNO 3 solution was tested in a rechargeable aqueous Li-ion battery and the results showed that it allowed an electrode material to have the same coulombic efficiency as it would have in liquid Li NO 3, showing good compatibility with the material.
