TL;DR: The LSST Galaxies Science Collaboration has identified a host of preparatory research tasks required to leverage fully the LSST dataset for extragalactic science beyond the study of dark energy as discussed by the authors.
Journal ArticleDOI
Measuring Baryon Acoustic Oscillations with Millions of Supernovae
TL;DR: In this paper, a half-sky photometric SN survey to redshift > 0.8 is used to measure the baryon signature in the SN spatial power spectrum, which can significantly improve the results from SN luminosity distances of the same data.
Proceedings ArticleDOI
Electro-optical testing of fully depleted CCD image sensors for the Large Synoptic Survey Telescope camera
Peter Doherty,P. Antilogus,Pierre Astier,James Chiang,D. Kirk Gilmore,Augustin Guyonnet,Dajun Huang,H. Kelly,Ivan Kotov,Petr Kubánek,Andrei Nomerotski,Paul O'Connor,Andrew P. Rasmussen,Vincent J. Riot,Christopher W. Stubbs,Péter Takács,J. Anthony Tyson,K. Vetter +17 more
TL;DR: The design of the prototype sensors, the hardware and software that has been used to perform electro-optic testing of the sensors, and a selection of the results of the testing to date are discussed.
Journal ArticleDOI
Constraints on Cosmology and Baryonic Feedback with the Deep Lens Survey Using Galaxy–Galaxy and Galaxy–Mass Power Spectra
TL;DR: Yoon et al. as mentioned in this paper measured galaxy-galaxy power spectra from two lens bins centered at z ∼ 0.27 and 0.54 and cross-correlated the positions of galaxies in these two bin locations with galaxy shapes in two source bins.
