Prothrombinase activity of human platelets is inhibited by β2-glycoprotein-I
J. Nimpf,Edouard M. Bevers,Paul H. H. Bomans,Till U,Helmut Wurm,Gerhard M. Kostner,Robert F. A. Zwaal +6 more
TL;DR: A regulatory role for β 2 -glycoprotein-I is suggested in the pathway of blood coagulation because it causes a reduction of the prothrombinase binding sites of these coagulations factors to platelets or phospholipid vesicles.
Journal ArticleDOI
β2-glycoprotein-I (apo-H) inhibits the release reaction of human platelets during ADP-induced aggregation
TL;DR: In this paper, the influence of β 2 -G-I on the serotonin (5-HT) release during platelet aggregation was measured, and it was shown that β 2 G-I completely inhibited the 5-HT release during ADP-induced platelet activation.
Journal ArticleDOI
Lipoprotein (a) and plasminogen are immunochemically related
TL;DR: Evidence is provided that the lipoprotein (a)-specific antigen, apop Protein (a) is immunochemically related to plasminogen, and binds selectively to lysine-Sepharose, but with a somewhat lower affinity.
Journal ArticleDOI
Interaction of beta 2-glycoprotein-I with human blood platelets: influence upon the ADP-induced aggregation.
TL;DR: It is suggested, that pelleting during centrifugation causes irreversible rearrangements in the membrane of platelets, which causes significant alteration of the ADP-induced aggregation of GFP.
Journal ArticleDOI
Free and Apo B-associated Lpa-specific protein in human serum
TL;DR: Apo A of the bottom fraction after ultracentrifugation and of the supernatant after selective precipitation is not stainable with Sudan black and probably represents a protein which is not associated with lipids.
