TL;DR: The preliminary findings of this study suggest that the higher CQ dosage should not be recommended for critically ill patients with COVID-19 because of its potential safety hazards, especially when taken concurrently with azithromycin and oseltamivir.
Journal ArticleDOI
An approximate likelihood estimator for the prevalence of infections in vectors using pools of varying sizes
James D. Santos,Diana Dorgam +1 more
TL;DR: This paper presents an approximate likelihood point estimator to rate of infection for pools of different sizes, when the variability of these sizes is small and the infection rate is low.
Journal ArticleDOI
A Metropolis algorithm to obtain co-sufficient samples with applications in conditional tests
TL;DR: This paper shows how to simulate co-sufficient samples when the data distribution belongs to the exponential family with doubly transitive sufficient statistics.
Journal ArticleDOI
An Algorithm for Prior Elicitation in Dynamic Bayesian Models for Proportions with the Logit Link Function
James D. Santos,José M. J. Costa +1 more
TL;DR: An algorithm to solve a nonlinear system when the logit function is used and if the initial conditions are satisfied, it is guaranteed that the algorithm converges to the solution.
