Journal ArticleDOI

Antibacterial activities of the methanol extracts, fractions and compounds from Fagara tessmannii.

TL;DR: Benzophenanthrine alkaloids 2 and 3 are the main antibacterial consituents of the roots of the plant and are a potential source of antimicrobial drugs to fight against MDR bacteria.
Journal ArticleDOI

Ericoside, a new antibacterial biflavonoid from Erica mannii (Ericaceae).

TL;DR: Of the purified compounds, ericoside displayed moderate activity against the resistant Escherichia coli AG100 with a MIC of 64 μg/mL and was tested against ten Gram-negative bacteria including multidrug resistant clinical isolates using a broth microdilution method.
Journal ArticleDOI

A new polyketide from the bark of Hypericum roeperianum Schimp. (Hypericaceae).

TL;DR: The structure elucidation is based on extensive 1D- and 2D-NMR, infrared, UV and MS experiments, and the structures of the known compounds were confirmed by comparison of their spectroscopic data with those of similar reported compounds in the literature.
