Journal ArticleDOI
In vitro characterization of proliferation and differentiation of trout satellite cells.
TL;DR: The characterization of these extracted muscle cells thus validates the use of this in vitro system of myogenesis in further studies of the myogenic activity of growth factors in trout.
Journal ArticleDOI
Amino acids downregulate the expression of several autophagy-related genes in rainbow trout myoblasts.
Iban Seiliez,Jean Charles Gabillard,Marine Riflade,Bastien Sadoul,Karine Dias,Julien Averous,Sophie Tesseraud,Sandrine Skiba,Stéphane Panserat +8 more
TL;DR: An important role for AA released by muscle proteolysis during the fasting period is suggested in regulating the subtle balance between using proteins as disposable furniture to provide energy, and conserving muscle through protein sparing.
Journal ArticleDOI
Aurora-C interacts with and phosphorylates the transforming acidic coiled-coil 1 protein.
Jean Charles Gabillard,Jean Charles Gabillard,Salvatore Ulisse,Enke Baldini,Salvatore Sorrenti,Jean Yves Cremet,Carmela Coccaro,Claude Prigent,Massimino D'Armiento,Yannick Arlot-Bonnemains +9 more
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that TACC1 localizes at the midbody during cytokinesis and interacts with and is a substrate of Aurora-C, which warrant further investigation in order to elucidate the functional significance of this interaction.
Journal ArticleDOI
Trout myomaker contains 14 minisatellites and two sequence extensions but retains fusogenic function.
Aurélie Landemaine,Andres Ramirez-Martinez,Olivier Monestier,Nathalie Sabin,Pierre Yves Rescan,Eric N. Olson,Jean Charles Gabillard +6 more
TL;DR: It is found that the trout myomaker gene encodes a 434–amino acid (aa) protein, in accordance with its apparent molecular mass observed by immunoblotting, and it is revealed that troutMyomaker has fusogenic function despite containing two protein extensions.
