Cosine-Gauss plasmon beam: a localized long-range nondiffracting surface wave.
Jiao Lin,Jean Dellinger,Patrice Genevet,Patrice Genevet,Benoit Cluzel,Frédérique de Fornel,Federico Capasso +6 more
TL;DR: The generation of a new surface wave, the cosine-Gauss beam, is shown to be straightforward and highly controllable, with varying degrees of transverse confinement and directionality, by fabricating a plasmon launcher consisting of intersecting metallic gratings.
Journal ArticleDOI
Spontaneous Hot-Electron Light Emission from Electron-Fed Optical Antennas
Mickaël Buret,Alexander V. Uskov,Alexander V. Uskov,Jean Dellinger,Jean Dellinger,Nicolas Cazier,Marie-Maxime Mennemanteuil,Johann Berthelot,Johann Berthelot,Igor V. Smetanin,Igor E. Protsenko,Gérard Colas-des-Francs,Alexandre Bouhelier +12 more
TL;DR: The electron-fed optical antennas described here are critical devices for interfacing electrons and photons, enabling thus the development of optical transceivers for on-chip wireless broadcasting of information at the nanoscale.
Journal ArticleDOI
On chip shapeable optical tweezers
C. Renaut,Benoit Cluzel,Jean Dellinger,Loïc Lalouat,Emmanuel Picard,David Peyrade,Emmanuel Hadji,F. de Fornel +7 more
TL;DR: This work proposes an alternative approach where the shape of the optical trap can be tuned by the wavelength in coupled nanobeam cavities, and presents micromanipulation of polystyrene microspheres trapped on a silicon chip.
Journal ArticleDOI
Assembly of microparticles by optical trapping with a photonic crystal nanocavity
Claude Renaut,Claude Renaut,Jean Dellinger,Benoit Cluzel,Thibault Honegger,David Peyrade,Emmanuel Picard,F. de Fornel,Emmanuel Hadji +8 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a photonic crystal nanocavity is inserted inside an optofluidic cell designed to enable the real-time control of the nanoresonator transmittance as well as the real time visualization of the particles motion in the vicinity of the cavity.
Journal ArticleDOI
Generation of two-dimensional plasmonic bottle beams.
Patrice Genevet,Jean Dellinger,Romain Blanchard,Alan She,Marlène Petit,Benoit Cluzel,Mikhail A. Kats,Frédérique de Fornel,Federico Capasso +8 more
TL;DR: The plasmonic bottle beam as discussed by the authors is a two-dimensional surface wave which features a lattice of plasmoric bottles, i.e. alternating regions of bright focii surrounded by low intensities.
