Photocatalytic oxidation of toluene at indoor air levels (ppbv): Towards a better assessment of conversion, reaction intermediates and mineralization
TL;DR: In this article, an analytical methodology for the investigation of toluene photocatalytic removal at indoor-relevant concentration level (ppbv) was presented, where experiments were performed using an annular flow-through reactor with TiO 2 as photocatalyst and under different ranges of relative humidity (RH: 0-70%), inlet concentration (20-400 ppbv), and flow rate (70-350 mL min −1 ).
Journal ArticleDOI
Nutrients removal from municipal wastewater by chemical precipitation in a moving bed biofilm reactor
Xuejiang Wang,Xuejiang Wang,Xuejiang Wang,Siqing Xia,Ling Chen,Jianfu Zhao,Nicole Jaffrezic Renault,Jean-Marc Chovelon +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a combined chemical precipitation and moving bed biofilm system was used to treat municipal wastewater for nitrogen removal through simultaneous nitrification and denitrification (SND), and 89.9% of total nitrogen removal efficiency through SND had been achieved in the system.
Journal ArticleDOI
A bi-enzymatic whole cell conductometric biosensor for heavy metal ions and pesticides detection in water samples
TL;DR: It has finally appeared that these biosensors are quite sensitive to Cd2+ and Zn2+ (limits of detection (LOD) = 10 ppb for a 30 min long exposure) while Pb2+ gives no significant inhibition as this ion seems to adsorb on albumin preferably.
Journal ArticleDOI
Naphthalene degradation in water by heterogeneous photocatalysis: An investigation of the influence of inorganic anions
TL;DR: In this paper, the degradation of naphthalene in water was performed by photocatalysis in UV-irradiated TiO2 suspensions, and the influence of physicochemical parameters such as concentration, photonic flux, temperature, pH and mass of catalyst has been investigated.
Journal ArticleDOI
Degradation of atrazine using metalloporphyrins supported on TiO2 under visible light irradiation
Gilma Granados-Oliveros,Gilma Granados-Oliveros,Edgar A. Páez-Mozo,Fernando Martínez Ortega,Corinne Ferronato,Jean-Marc Chovelon +5 more
TL;DR: In this article, the photocatalytic activity of tetra(4-carboxyphenyl)porphyrin with different metal centers (Fe(III), Cu(II), Zn(II) and metal-free), adsorbed on TiO 2 surface has been investigated by carrying out the photodegradation of atrazine in aqueous solution and under visible light irradiation.
