Characterization and intercomparison of aerosol absorption photometers: result of two intercomparison workshops

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors compared the performance of different types of absorption photometers for real-time analysis of aerosol particles. But, the results showed that the current corrections of a cross sensitivity to particle scattering are not sufficient and the remaining cross sensitivities were a function of the total particle load on the filter.

TL;DR: In this article, a detailed investigation of the chemical and microphysical properties of atmospheric aerosol particles was performed at the puy-de-Dome (pdD) research station (1465 m) in autumn (September and October 2008), winter (February and March 2009, and summer (June 2010) using a compact Time-of-Flight Aerosol Mass Spectrometer (cToF-AMS).
