Adsorption isotherms and thermochemical data of fd&c red n° 40 binding by chitosan

TL;DR: In this paper, the effect of chitosan on the adaption of FD&C Red n°40 food dye was investigated using the batch method, from 298 to 338 K. The results showed that the adsorption process is exothermic, spontaneous, and favorable.
Journal ArticleDOI

Kinetics and isotherms of leather dye adsorption by tannery solid waste

TL;DR: In this paper, the potential for reuse of industrial wastes of vegetal and chromium tanned leather as an adsorbent has been proposed to be an efficient and economical alternative in removal of tannery dyes from aqueous solutions.
Book ChapterDOI

Adsorption Isotherms in Liquid Phase: Experimental, Modeling, and Interpretations

TL;DR: In this paper, the particularities of adsorption equilibrium isotherms in liquid phase from scientific and technological viewpoints are discussed, and the importance of the adsorption isotherm is addressed.
Journal ArticleDOI

Adsorption of FD&C Red No. 40 by chitosan: isotherms analysis.

TL;DR: In this article, the effects of pH (5.7, 6.6 and 7.5), particle size ranges (0.10−± 0.02, 0.18−±−0.02 and 0.26−±-0.2), deacetylation degree (42 −±−5, 64 −± −3% and 84 −±-3%) and temperature (25, 35 and 45 −°C) were investigated.
Journal ArticleDOI

Alternative techniques for caffeine removal from wastewater: An overview of opportunities and challenges

TL;DR: A literature review of methods for caffeine removal from aqueous solutions and real effluents is presented in this paper, where the main results and limitations of each method are discussed.
