Sex-Specific Differences in the Effect of Free Testosterone on Sarcopenia Components in Older Adults.
TL;DR: In this paper, the association of baseline free testosterone (FT) with the prevalence and incidence of sarcopenia and its components in community-dwelling older adults was examined, and it was shown that low FT levels may be a significant determinant of decreases in muscle strength in women and declines in physical performance in men after 2 years.

TL;DR: The monocyte chemoattractant protein (MCP)-1 is a cytokine central to the inflammatory process and the genetics of MCP-1 are little understood.

Physical Frailty and Brain White Matter Abnormalities: The ARIC Study.
Emma L. Ducca,Gabriela Gomez,Priya Palta,Kevin J. Sullivan,Clifford R. Jack,David S. Knopman,Rebecca F. Gottesman,Jeremy D. Walston,B. Gwen Windham,Keenan A. Walker +9 more
TL;DR: A robust association of WMH volume with current and future frailty is demonstrated, although measures of white matter microstructure were altered in frail individuals, these measures were not generally associated with progression from non-frail to frail status.
