Journal ArticleDOI

A chromosome bin map of 16,000 expressed sequence tag loci and distribution of genes among the three genomes of polyploid wheat.

TL;DR: The chromosome bin map of ESTs is a unique resource for SNP analysis, comparative mapping, structural and functional analysis, and polyploid evolution, as well as providing a framework for constructing a sequence-ready, BAC-contig map of the wheat genome.
Journal ArticleDOI

Mapping quantitative trait loci for preharvest sprouting resistance in white wheat.

TL;DR: This study provides valuable information for marker-assisted breeding for PHS resistance, future haplotyping studies, and research into seed dormancy, as HD was found to be significantly negatively correlated with PHS score in most environments, likely due to a major HD QTL, QHd.1.
Journal ArticleDOI

Comparison of digital image analysis using elliptic Fourier descriptors and major dimensions to phenotype seed shape in hexaploid wheat (Triticum aestivum L.)

TL;DR: There were significant differences in the results of the QTL analysis depending on the DIA software used and the use of EFDs to characterize horizontal measures of seed shape in wheat identified more QTL with higher LOD scores than length to width ratio.
