A simple, fast and cheap non-SPE screening method for antibacterial residue analysis in milk and liver using liquid chromatography–tandem mass spectrometry

TL;DR: An efficient technique for the analysis of multiclass antibacterial residues (fluoroquinolones, tetracyclines, sulfonamides and trimethoprim) was developed based on simple, environment-friendly extraction for bovine milk, cattle and poultry liver and proved that it can be an important tool in routine analysis, since it is very fast and reliable.
Journal ArticleDOI

Scope extension validation protocol: inclusion of analytes and matrices in an LC-MS/MS sulfonamide residues method

TL;DR: A simple and rugged protocol for validation in the case of extension of scope for analysis of sulfonamide residues using LC-MS/MS, including inclusion of more analytes, metabolites, matrices and optimisation for the extraction procedure are presented in detail.
Journal ArticleDOI

Characterization and estimation of sulfaquinoxaline metabolites in animal tissues using liquid chromatography coupled to tandem mass spectrometry

TL;DR: In this paper, a metabolite of SQX, present in liver and kidney samples, was identified, called SQX-OH, with an m/z of 317, which is also produced in vitro in equine, swine and bovine liver samples, using liquid chromatography coupled to mass spectrometry in tandem mode.
