Proceedings Article
Soft Computing Techniques in Data Mining.
TL;DR: This special issue encompasses eight papers devoted to the recent developments in the field of Data Mining, and seven of them were accepted according to the referees’ evaluations.
Journal ArticleDOI
Omics Data Preprocessing for Machine Learning: A Case Study in Childhood Obesity
Á. Torres-Martos,Mireia Bustos-Aibar,A. Ramírez-Mena,Sofia Cámara-Sánchez,Augusto Anguita-Ruiz,Rafael Alcalá,Concepción M. Aguilera,Jesús Alcalá-Fdez +7 more
TL;DR: The use of machine learning techniques for the construction of predictive models of disease outcomes (based on omics and other types of molecular data) has gained enormous relevance in the last few years in the biomedical field as mentioned in this paper .
Book ChapterDOI
Genetic lateral and amplitude tuning with rule selection for fuzzy control of heating, ventilating and air conditioning systems
TL;DR: A new post-processing method for the lateral and amplitude tuning of membership functions combined with a rule selection is proposed to develop accurate fuzzy logic controllers dedicated to the control of heating, ventilating and air conditioning systems concerning energy performance and indoor comfort requirements.
Journal ArticleDOI
Evaluation of the Predictive Ability, Environmental Regulation and Pharmacogenetics Utility of a BMI-Predisposing Genetic Risk Score during Childhood and Puberty.
Augusto Anguita-Ruiz,Augusto Anguita-Ruiz,Esther M González-Gil,Esther M González-Gil,Esther M González-Gil,Azahara I. Rupérez,Francisco Jesus Llorente-Cantarero,Francisco Jesus Llorente-Cantarero,Belén Pastor-Villaescusa,Belén Pastor-Villaescusa,Jesús Alcalá-Fdez,Luis A. Moreno,Luis A. Moreno,Angel Gil,Angel Gil,Mercedes Gil-Campos,Mercedes Gil-Campos,Mercedes Gil-Campos,Gloria Bueno,Gloria Bueno,Rosaura Leis,Rosaura Leis,Concepción M. Aguilera,Concepción M. Aguilera +23 more
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that the pGRS is strongly associated with childhood BMI Z-Score, and that it could be used as a good predictor of obesity longitudinal trajectories during puberty, and it was shown that certain environmental factors interact with the genetic predisposition to the disease.
Proceedings ArticleDOI
New open source modules in KEEL to analyze and export fuzzy association rules
TL;DR: Four new KEEL modules to analyze and export fuzzy association rules and a module to export obtained rules to the standard PMML in order to be able to take advantages of other software are introduced.
