Introduction to the Experimental Design in the Data Mining Tool KEEL

TL;DR: This chapter will provide a complete description of KEEL, the kind of problems and algorithms implemented, and they will present a case of study for showing the experimental design and statistical analysis that they can do with KEEL.
Journal ArticleDOI

Learning positive-negative rule-based fuzzy associative classifiers with a good trade-off between complexity and accuracy

TL;DR: In this article , a fuzzy associative classification method was proposed to learn classifiers with an improved trade-off between accuracy and complexity, where the most appropriate granularity of each variable was learned to generate a set of simple fuzzy association rules with a reduced number of associations that consider positive and negative dependencies to classify an instance depending on the presence or absence of certain items.
Journal ArticleDOI

Shared gene expression signatures between visceral adipose and skeletal muscle tissues are associated with cardiometabolic traits in children with obesity.

TL;DR: In this paper , a multi-objective analytic pipeline consisting of three main approaches was proposed to identify gene co-expression clusters associated with childhood obesity, individually in visceral adipose tissue (VAT) and skeletal muscle tissue (SMT) in a cohort of Spanish boys with obesity.
Proceedings Article

Genetic learning of accurate TS models based on local fuzzy prototyping.

TL;DR: This work presents the use of local fuzzy prototypes as a first approximation to obtain accurate local semantics-based TakagiSugeno rules.
