Battle of the Water Calibration Networks

TL;DR: Calibration is a process of comparing model results with field data and making the appropriate adjustments so that both results agree as mentioned in this paper, which can involve formal optimization methods or manual methods in which the modeler informally examines alternative model parameters.

Modeling method of on-line hydraulic model of municipal drainage pipe network

TL;DR: In this article, a modeling method of an on-line hydraulic model of a municipal drainage pipe network, belonging to the technical field of municipal engineering information, is presented, where the modeling method can construct an online model of the pipe network and realize to input real-time rainfall data to the online model continuously when flood situation is forecasted, and analog computation is carried out to the model; furthermore, the model provides analog computation data of the whole future water recession process for a pipe network system continuously, so as to achieve realtime forecasting water regimen and timely warning functions.

Projection pursuit-based method for evaluating flooding risk of drainage pipe network

TL;DR: In this article, a projection pursuit-based method for evaluating flooding risk of a drainage pipe network is proposed, which integrates multi-aspect flooding risk effect factors from a model, a geographic information system and a database system.
Journal ArticleDOI

Metabolic parameters and thyroid hormones in relation to suicide attempts in patients with first-episode and drug-naive major depressive disorder with comorbid glucose disturbances: a large cross-sectional study

TL;DR: A high incidence of suicide attempts in major depressive disorder (MDD) patients with comorbid glucose disturbances is suggested, including clinically relevant factors, metabolic parameters, and thyroid hormone levels.
Journal ArticleDOI

Self-Harm in Children and Adolescents Who Presented at Emergency Units During the COVID-19 Pandemic: An International Retrospective Cohort Study

TL;DR: In this article , the authors compared psychiatric emergencies and selfharm at emergency departments (EDs) 1 year into the pandemic, to early pandemic and pre-pandemic, and examined the changes in the characteristics of self-harm presentations.
