Journal ArticleDOI

Loss of Gata4 in Sertoli cells impairs the spermatogonial stem cell niche and causes germ cell exhaustion by attenuating chemokine signaling

TL;DR: A novel role for GATA4 is revealed in controlling the SSC niche via the transcriptional regulation of chemokine signaling shortly after birth through deletion of Gata4 in Sertoli cells.
Journal ArticleDOI

Melatonin promotes development of haploid germ cells from early developing spermatogenic cells of Suffolk sheep under in vitro condition

TL;DR: In this study, it is observed that melatonin supplementation significantly enhanced the cultured SSCs differentiation into haploid germ cells and the in vitro‐generated sperms were functional and they were capable to fertilize oocytes.
Journal ArticleDOI

Requirement for CCNB1 in mouse spermatogenesis

TL;DR: It is found that ablation of CCNB1 in gonocytes and spermatogonia led to mouse sterile caused by the male germ cells’ depletion, and results indicate thatCCNB1 is critically required for the proliferation of gonocyte and sPerMatogonia but may be redundant in meiosis of sperMatocytes in mouse sper matogenesis.
Journal ArticleDOI

Sertoli Cell Wt1 Regulates Peritubular Myoid Cell and Fetal Leydig Cell Differentiation during Fetal Testis Development

TL;DR: De deleting Wt1 in Sertoli cells caused aberrant differentiation and proliferation of PMCs, FLCs and interstitial progenitor cells from embryo to newborn, leading to abnormal fetal testis interstitial development.
