All-fiber seawater salinity sensor based on fiber laser intracavity loss modulation with low detection limit

TL;DR: An all-fiber seawater salinity sensor based on intracavity loss-modulated sensing in a fiber ring laser is proposed and experimentally demonstrated.
Journal ArticleDOI

Optical tuning of dielectric properties of SrTiO3:Fe in the terahertz range.

TL;DR: Tuning of the dielectric permittivity spectra of iron-doped strontium titanate single crystals in an external optical field is investigated by means of terahertz time-domain spectroscopy and it is found that the change of refractive index has a linear relationship on scale with the applied light power.
Journal ArticleDOI

Bulk- and layer-heterojunction phototransistors based on poly [2-methoxy-5-(2′-ethylhexyloxy-p-phenylenevinylene)] and PbS quantum dot hybrids

TL;DR: In this article, a comparison study was performed on the two structures based on polymer and PbS quantum dot hybrids, and the results showed that the responsivity of layer heterojunction (LH) and field effect phototransistors (FEpTs) were more conducive to photodetection.
Journal ArticleDOI

A Compact Ultra-Long Period Fiber Grating Based on Cascading Up-Tapers

TL;DR: In this article, a fiber grating with length of 2mm is fabricated by cascading three up-tapers on a single mode fiber, which is the shortest ultra-long period fiber GRating up to now.
Journal ArticleDOI

Dual-point automatic switching intracavity-absorption photonic crystal fiber gas sensor based on mode competition

TL;DR: In this article, a dual-point channel-switchable intracavity absorption hollow-core photonic crystal fiber acetylene sensing system based on the mode-competition phenomenon in a ring fiber laser with a Sagnac loop filter was proposed.
