A Novel Antimicrobial Endolysin, LysPA26, against Pseudomonas aeruginosa.
Mingquan Guo,Chunyan Feng,Jie Ren,Xuran Zhuang,Yan Zhang,Yongzhang Zhu,Ke Dong,Ping He,Xiaokui Guo,Jinhong Qin +9 more
TL;DR: Results show that LysPA26 is a new and promising antimicrobial agent for the combat of Gram-negative pathogens.
Journal ArticleDOI
A surface enolase participates in Borrelia burgdorferi-plasminogen interaction and contributes to pathogen survival within feeding ticks.
TL;DR: It is shown that a fraction of the B. burgdorferi chromosomal gene product BB0337, annotated as enolase or phosphopyruvate dehydratase, is associated with spirochete outer membrane and is surface exposed, suggesting that the protein could have a stage-specific role in B. intruder infection.
Journal ArticleDOI
Pre-optimized phage therapy on secondary Acinetobacter baumannii infection in four critical COVID-19 patients.
Nannan Wu,Jia Dai,Mingquan Guo,Jianhui Li,Xin Zhou,Feng Li,Yuan Gao,Hongping Qu,Hongzhou Lu,Jing Jin,Tao Li,Lei Shi,Qingguo Wu,Ruoming Tan,Ming-Li Zhu,Lan Yang,Yun Ling,Shunpeng Xing,Jianzhong Zhang,Bangxin Yao,Shuai Le,Shuai Le,Jingmin Gu,Jingmin Gu,Jinhong Qin,Jinhong Qin,Jie Li,Mengjun Cheng,Demeng Tan,Linlin Li,Yiyuan Zhang,Zhaoqin Zhu,Jinfeng Cai,Zhigang Song,Xiaokui Guo,Xiaokui Guo,Li-Kuang Chen,Tongyu Zhu +37 more
TL;DR: In this article, the potential of phages on rapid responses to secondary Acinetobacter baumannii (CRAB) outbreak in COVID-19 patients was investigated.
Journal ArticleDOI
Genome-wide transcriptional analysis of temperature shift in L. interrogans serovar lai strain 56601
Jinhong Qin,Jinhong Qin,Yue-Ying Sheng,Zhi-Ming Zhang,Yao-Zhou Shi,Ping He,Bao-Yu Hu,Yang Yang,Shi-Gui Liu,Guoping Zhao,Xiaokui Guo +10 more
TL;DR: Microarray analyses demonstrated that L. interrogans responds globally to temperature alteration and delineate the spectrum of temperature-regulated gene expression in an important human pathogen and provide many new insights into its pathogenesis.
Journal ArticleDOI
In silico and microarray-based genomic approaches to identifying potential vaccine candidates against Leptospira interrogans
Hongliang Yang,Yongzhang Zhu,Yongzhang Zhu,Jinhong Qin,Ping He,Xu-Cheng Jiang,Guoping Zhao,Xiaokui Guo +7 more
TL;DR: 226 genes were identified as vaccine candidates by bioinformatics, CGH and transcriptional analysis on the basis of the theory of reverse vaccinology and these genes are conserved among ten epidemic serovars in China and have high transcriptional levels in vitro.
