Journal ArticleDOI

Transductional targeting of adenovirus vectors for gene therapy.

TL;DR: Advances in Ad targeting are described that are predicated on a fundamental understanding of vector/cell interplay, and strategies by which existing paradigms may be combined with Ad vectors to form advanced delivery vehicles with multiple functions are proposed.
Journal ArticleDOI

Transductional and transcriptional targeting of adenovirus for clinical applications.

TL;DR: Adenovirus targeting is described in the context of improving the safety and efficacy of clinical approaches utilizing adenoviral vectors and replication competent oncolytic agents, suggesting a critical linkage between targeted agents and increases in therapeutic utility.
Journal ArticleDOI

Identification and characterization of nuclear factor κB binding sites in the murine bcl-x promoter

TL;DR: The hypothesis that NF‐κB can act to enhance Bcl‐XL expression via highly selective interactions, where NF‐kkB binding and bcl‐x promoter activation are dependent on both DNA binding site sequence and NF‐σ subunit composition, is supported.
Journal ArticleDOI

An adenovirus vector with a chimeric fiber incorporating stabilized single chain antibody achieves targeted gene delivery

TL;DR: It is shown that the scFv employed in this study retains functionality and that stabilizing the targeting molecule, per se, is critical to allow retention of antigen recognition in the adenovirus capsid-incorporated context.
