Journal ArticleDOI

Conservation with sense.

TL;DR: A word of caution is proposed: Relying on the human perceptual world, instead of the sometimes, is recommended for the protection of imperiled ecosystems.
Journal ArticleDOI

Sexual selection predicts brain structure in dragon lizards

TL;DR: It is shown that the primary brain nuclei underlying reproductive behaviour in vertebrates can evolve in a mosaic fashion, differently between males and females, likely in response to sexual selection, and that these same regions are simultaneously evolving in concert in relation to overall brain size.
Journal ArticleDOI

Temperature-induced colour change varies seasonally in bearded dragon lizards

TL;DR: The results confirm that temperatureinduced colour change is greater in the peak activity season, probably an adaptation to the greater thermal and/or signalling needs of that time of year.
Journal ArticleDOI

Geographic divergence and colour change in response to visual backgrounds and illumination intensity in bearded dragons.

TL;DR: It is found that bearded dragons change colour in response to various backgrounds and that colour change is affected by illumination intensity, which makes them more similar to local backgrounds.
