British Thoracic Society guideline for diagnostic flexible bronchoscopy in adults: accredited by NICE.
I A Du Rand,John Blaikley,Richard Booton,Nazia Chaudhuri,Vivek Gupta,S Khalid,Swapna Mandal,J. Martin,J Mills,Neal Navani,Najib M. Rahman,John M. Wrightson,Mohammed Munavvar +12 more
TL;DR: This poster discusses the management of Hypoxaemia and Cardiac arrhythmias with a focus on the treatment of the former and the importance of knowing the signs and symptoms of the latter.
Journal ArticleDOI
The nuclear receptor REV-ERBα mediates circadian regulation of innate immunity through selective regulation of inflammatory cytokines
Julie E. Gibbs,John Blaikley,Stephen Beesley,Laura Matthews,Karen D. Simpson,Susan H. Boyce,Stuart N. Farrow,Kathryn J. Else,Dave Singh,David W. Ray,Andrew S. I. Loudon +10 more
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that the macrophage clockwork provides temporal gating of systemic responses to endotoxin, and REV-ERBα is identified as the key link between the clock and immune function, and may represent a unique therapeutic target in human inflammatory disease.

Journal ArticleDOI
Circadian actin dynamics drive rhythmic fibroblast mobilization during wound healing.
Nathaniel P. Hoyle,Estere Seinkmane,Marrit Putker,Kevin A. Feeney,Toke P. Krogager,Johanna E. Chesham,Liam K. Bray,Justyn M. Thomas,Ken Dunn,John Blaikley,John S. O’Neill +10 more
TL;DR: It is suggested that circadian regulation of the cytoskeleton influences wound-healing efficacy from the cellular to the organismal scale, as well as the observation that the time of injury significantly affects healing after burns in humans, with daytime wounds healing faster than nighttime wounds.
Journal ArticleDOI
Summary of the British Thoracic Society guideline for diagnostic flexible bronchoscopy in adults.

TL;DR: This guideline is based on the best available evidence and is a revised update of the British Thoracic Society guideline on diagnostic flexible bronchoscopy.
