Nanostructured ZnO on cotton fabrics – A novel flexible gas sensor & UV filter

TL;DR: In this paper, the surface of carbon cellulosic fabric was modified by solgel and sputter seed layer-coated sol-gel techniques, which showed a maximum UV protection factor (UPF) of 378.
Journal ArticleDOI

Nanostructured Cerium-doped ZnO thin film – A breath sensor

TL;DR: In this article, thin film based chemi-resistive Cerium-doped ZnO sensors were developed for detecting acetone and ethanolamine, which are the notable biomarkers of diabetes mellitus and carcinoma respectively.
Journal ArticleDOI

Growth and characterization of spray pyrolysis deposited copper oxide thin films: Influence of substrate and annealing temperatures

TL;DR: In this paper, the effect of substrate and annealing temperatures on the structural, morphological, optical and electrical properties of spray-deposition copper oxide thin films was investigated and the films were deposited on glass substrates using 0.05 m of cupric acetate precursor at the substrate temperatures of 523, 623 and 723 K.
Journal ArticleDOI

Room-temperature gas sensing of laser-modified anatase TiO2 decorated with Au nanoparticles

TL;DR: In this article, the effect of gold concentration in Au@TiO2 nanocomposites on their sensing properties was evaluated by XRD, XPS and SEM methods and then tested as gas sensing devices towards a number of volatile compounds.
Journal ArticleDOI

Heptazine based organic framework as a chemiresistive sensor for ammonia detection at room temperature

TL;DR: In this article, a heptazine based microporous polymer sensor for the detection of ammonia at room temperature and under ambient conditions was demonstrated for the first time, which demonstrated an enhanced response (166 at 70% RH and 47 at 84% RH) towards 50 ppm of ammonia with response and recovery times of 65 and 9 s.
