Incidence rates and risk factors of bipolar disorder in the general population: a population-based cohort study
Jojanneke S. Kroon,Tamar Wohlfarth,Jeanne P. Dieleman,Arjen L. Sutterland,Jitschak G. Storosum,Damiaan Denys,Damiaan Denys,Lieuwe de Haan,Mirjam C J M Sturkenboom +8 more
TL;DR: To estimate the incidence rates (IRs) of bipolar I and bipolar II disorders in the general population according to sociodemographic population characteristics, a large number of patients with these disorders are diagnosed with bipolar I or II disorders.
Journal ArticleDOI
High IL-13 production by human neonatal T cells: neonate immune system regulator?
Laura M. Ribeiro-do-Couto,L. C. M. Boeije,Jojanneke S. Kroon,Berend Hooibrink,Birgitta S. Breur-Vriesendorp,Lucien A. Aarden,Claire J.P. Boog +6 more
TL;DR: It is suggested that the abundance of IL‐13 in the neonate immune system might account for the type 2 bias in neonates, providing a basis for the high disease susceptibility of newborns, for instance to allergic diseases.
Journal ArticleDOI
Annual incidence rate of schizophrenia and schizophrenia spectrum disorders in a longitudinal population-based cohort study
Arjen L. Sutterland,Arjen L. Sutterland,Jeanne P. Dieleman,Jitschak G. Storosum,Bettie A. C. Voordouw,Jojanneke S. Kroon,Joris Veldhuis,Damiaan Denys,Damiaan Denys,Lieuwe de Haan,Miriam C. J. M. Sturkenboom +10 more
TL;DR: IRs of SSD are higher in urban areas, independent of social deprivation, and the magnitude of these differences was larger in narrowly defined schizophrenia than in SSD.
