Effect of Acidic Medium on Swelling and Release Behaviors of Chitosan-Reinforced Calcium Pectinate Gel Beads
TL;DR: In this article, Chitosan-reinforced calcium pectinate (ChCP) gel beads were prepared by ionotropic gelation method and compared with conventional CP gel beads, and the results suggested that the acid, which essentially found in stomach, influenced the swelling and release behaviors of ChCP beads.
Journal Article
Factors affecting preparations of chitosan microcapsules for colonic drug delivery
Kampanart Huanbutta,Manee Luangtana-anan,Pornsak Sriamornsak,Sonthaya Limmatvapirat,Satit Puttipipatkhachorn,Jurairat Nunthanid +5 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors studied factors affecting preparations of chitosan microcapsules for colonic drug delivery, i.e., morphology, particle size and zeta potential of micro-capsules.
Journal ArticleDOI
Manufacture of Ternary Solid Dispersions Composed of Nifedipine, Eudragit ® E and Adsorbent
Pornsak Sriamornsak,Srisuda Kontong,Yotsanan Weerapol,Jurairat Nunthanid,Srisagul Sungthongjeen,Sontaya Limmatvapirat +5 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors used powder x-ray diffraction (PXRD) and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) to analyze the physicochemical properties of ternary systems, compared to physical mixtures.
Journal ArticleDOI
Determination of Surface Free Energy and Contact Angle for Hydrolyzed Shellac
Pakorn Kraisit,Sontaya Limmatvapirat,Jurairat Nunthanid,Manee Luangtana-anan,K. Terada,Etsuo Yonemochi,Yasuo Yoshihashi +6 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the surface free energy and contact angle of hydrolyzed shellac were determined by using sessile drop technique, which is a method for determination of contact angle by placing a drop of liquid on a substrate and then calculated by using the Wus equation.
