Journal ArticleDOI
Properties of hollow molecules probed by single-photon double ionization.
Pascal Lablanquie,Pascal Lablanquie,Francis Penent,Francis Penent,Jérôme Palaudoux,Jérôme Palaudoux,Lidija Andric,Lidija Andric,P. Selles,P. Selles,Stéphane Carniato,Stéphane Carniato,Klemen Bučar,Matjaž Žitnik,Marko Huttula,John H. D. Eland,Eiji Shigemasa,Kouichi Soejima,Yasumasa Hikosaka,Isao H. Suzuki,M. Nakano,K. Ito +21 more
TL;DR: Detailed properties are presented such as the spectroscopy, formation, and decay dynamics of the N(2)(2+) K(-2) main and satellite states and the strong chemical shifts of double K holes on an oxygen atom in CO, CO2, and O2 molecules.
Journal ArticleDOI
Evidence of single-photon two-site core double ionization of C2H2 molecules.
Pascal Lablanquie,Tasko P. Grozdanov,M Zitnik,Stéphane Carniato,Stéphane Carniato,P. Selles,P. Selles,Lidija Andric,Lidija Andric,Jérôme Palaudoux,Jérôme Palaudoux,Francis Penent,Francis Penent,H. Iwayama,Eiji Shigemasa,Yasumasa Hikosaka,Kouichi Soejima,M. Nakano,Isao H. Suzuki,K. Ito +19 more
TL;DR: A simple theoretical model based on the knockout mechanism gives reasonable agreement with experiment on the formation in a single-photon transition of two core holes, each at a different carbon atom of the C2H2 molecule.
Journal ArticleDOI
Properties of resonant interatomic Coulombic decay in Ne dimers.
TL;DR: The double photoionization cross section, deduced from the Ne+/Ne+ coincidence signal, is dominated by the ICD process and presents a threshold 280 meV below the atomic Ne+2s(-1) threshold.
Journal ArticleDOI
K-shell photoionization of CO: II. Determination of dipole matrix elements and phase differences
N. A. Cherepkov,G Raseev,Jun-ichi Adachi,Yasumasa Hikosaka,K. Ito,S Motoki,M Sano,Kouichi Soejima,Akira Yagishita +8 more
TL;DR: In this article, the experimental angular distribution of photoelectrons from the K-shells of an oriented CO molecule reported in a companion paper was performed and determined 18 dynamical parameters (ten moduli of transition moments and eight phase differences).
Journal ArticleDOI
Single Photon K − 2 and K − 1 K − 1 Double Core Ionization in C 2 H 2 n ( n = 1 – 3 ), CO, and N 2 as a Potential New Tool for Chemical Analysis
M. Nakano,Francis Penent,Francis Penent,Motomichi Tashiro,Tasko P. Grozdanov,Matjaž Žitnik,Stéphane Carniato,Stéphane Carniato,P. Selles,P. Selles,Lidija Andric,Lidija Andric,Pascal Lablanquie,Pascal Lablanquie,Jérôme Palaudoux,Jérôme Palaudoux,Eiji Shigemasa,H. Iwayama,Yasumasa Hikosaka,Kouichi Soejima,Isao H. Suzuki,Noriyuki Kouchi,K. Ito +22 more
TL;DR: The cross section variation for single photon K(-1)K (-1) double core ionization in the C(2)H(2n) sequence and in the isoelectronic C(1-3) hydrocarbon sequence, N (2) and CO molecules validates a knock-out mechanism in which a primary ionized 1s photoelectron ejects another 1s electron of the neighbor atom.
