Conductivity, work function, and environmental stability of PEDOT:PSS thin films treated with sorbitol
Alexandre M. Nardes,Martijn Kemerink,MM de Kok,E Esther Vinken,K Klara Maturová,Raj René Janssen +5 more
TL;DR: In this article, thermal annealing of spin-coated poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene):poly(4-styrenesulfonate) (PEDOT:PSS) thin films deposited from aqueous dispersion using different concentrations of sorbitol has been studied.
Journal ArticleDOI
Quantifying bimolecular recombination losses in organic bulk heterojunction solar cells.
TL;DR: A new experimental technique is presented that affords direct quantification of the fraction of charge carriers lost in poly(3-hexylthiophene): fullerene solar cells by bimolecular recombination by using a closed analytical expression for the photocurrent generated by an organic solar cell.
Journal ArticleDOI
The dynamic organic p-n junction
TL;DR: In situ formation of a dynamic p-n junction structure within an organic semiconductor through electrochemistry is demonstrated and it is shown that a significant portion of the potential drop between the electrodes coincides with the location of a thin and distinct light-emission zone positioned >30 microm away from the negative electrode.
Journal ArticleDOI
Morphological Device Model for Organic Bulk Heterojunction Solar Cells
TL;DR: A numerical model for calculating current-voltage characteristics of polymer:fullerene bulk hetrojunction solar cells at different degrees of nanoscale phase separation shows that the short-circuit current enhancement with finer phase separation is due to a reduction in bimolecular recombination caused by lateral movement of photogenerated electrons to the fullerene-rich phase.
Journal ArticleDOI
Scanning Kelvin Probe Microscopy on Bulk Heterojunction Polymer Blends
TL;DR: In this paper, correlated AFM and scanning Kelvin probe microscopy measurements with sub-100 nm resolution on the phase-separated active layer of polymer-fullerene (MDMO-PPV:PCBM) bulk heterojunction solar cells are presented.
