SAUR36, a SMALL AUXIN UP RNA Gene, Is Involved in the Promotion of Leaf Senescence in Arabidopsis

TL;DR: The identification and characterization of an Arabidopsis (Arabidopsis thaliana) leaf senescence-associated gene named SAG201 is reported, which is highly up-regulated during leafsenescence and can be induced by 1-naphthaleneacetic acid, a synthetic auxin.
Journal ArticleDOI

RNA-Seq for gene identification and transcript profiling of three Stevia rebaudiana genotypes

TL;DR: RNA-seq analysis identified candidate genes encoding enzymes responsible for the biosynthesis of SGs in Stevia, a non-model plant without a reference genome, demonstrating that RNA-Seq can be successfully used for gene identification and transcript profiling in aNon-model species.
Journal ArticleDOI

Peimisine and peiminine production by endophytic fungus Fusarium sp. isolated from Fritillaria unibracteata var. wabensis

TL;DR: Investigation of endophytic fungi isolated from fresh bulbs of Fritillaria unibracteata var.
Journal ArticleDOI

Endophytic fungus strain 28 isolated from Houttuynia cordata possesses wide-spectrum antifungal activity

TL;DR: An endophytic fungus that was isolated from Houttuynia cordata Thunb, a famous and widely-used Traditional Chinese Medicine, was identified as Chaetomium globosum and it was demonstrated that the crude ethyl acetate extracts of strain 28 had a wide antifungal spectrum and strong antimicrobial activity.
Journal ArticleDOI

Extraction, purification and antioxidation of a polysaccharide from Fritillaria unibracteata var. wabuensis

TL;DR: FWPS1-1 was the first heteropolysaccharide purified from FUW and showed good antioxidant activity and DNA protective effect, and confirmed that macromolecule is also bioactive ingredient that requires attention like the small-molecule active compounds in F UW.
