Journal ArticleDOI

Molecular Features of Humic Acids and Fulvic Acids from Contrasting Environments.

TL;DR: Factor analysis showed that within each sample, FAs consistently differed from corresponding HAs in a larger contribution from mono- and polyaromatic hydrocarbons and heterocyclic hydrocarols, suggesting that their binding properties may, in addition to the carboxyl and phenolic groups, be influenced by the molecular architecture.
Journal ArticleDOI

Contrasting evolution of iron phase composition in soils exposed to redox fluctuations

TL;DR: In this article, the trajectory of Fe mineral transformation under redox fluctuations is unclear and has been reported to result in both increases and decreases in Fe phase crystallinity in redox-active soils and sediments.
Journal ArticleDOI

Properties of organic matter in soil solution in a German fen area as dependent on land use and depth

TL;DR: In this article, the differences in the composition of dissolved organic matter (DOM) in soil dependent on both land use and soil depth were identified, and the effect of land use on DOM composition was investigated.
Journal ArticleDOI

β-HCH mobilization in polluted wetland soils as influenced by dissolved organic matter

TL;DR: In this paper, a correlation between the quantity and quality of dissolved organic matter (DOM) and the mobilization and transport of 1,2,3,4,5,6-hexachlorocyclohexane (β-HCH) was studied.
Journal ArticleDOI

Concentrations and properties of dissolved organic matter in forest soils as affected by the redox regime

Sabine Fiedler, +1 more
- 01 Nov 2003 -
TL;DR: In this article, the influence of redox conditions on DOM dynamics in the field, sampling soil solutions at different depths of three soils (Humic and Histic Gleysol, Chromic Cam).
