Journal ArticleDOI
Existence of SARS-CoV-2 Entry Molecules in the Oral Cavity.
Wakako Sakaguchi,Nobuhisa Kubota,Tomoko Shimizu,Juri Saruta,Shinya Fuchida,Akira Kawata,Yuko Yamamoto,Masahiro Sugimoto,Mayumi Yakeishi,Keiichi Tsukinoki +9 more
TL;DR: Data showed that essential molecules for SARS-CoV-2 infection were abundant in the oral cavity, but the database analysis showed that saliva also contains many protease inhibitors, so other factors including protease inhibitor in the saliva that inhibit viral entry should be considered.
Journal ArticleDOI
Expression and Localization of Chromogranin A Gene and Protein in Human Submandibular Gland
Juri Saruta,Keiichi Tsukinoki,Kenichi Sasaguri,Hidenori Ishii,Masanori Yasuda,Yoshiyuki Osamura,Yoshihisa Watanabe,Sadao Sato +7 more
TL;DR: CgA in humans is produced by HSG and secreted into saliva, and was consistently localized in serous and ductal cells in HSG, as detected by immunohistochemistry and in situhybridization.
Journal ArticleDOI
Expression of Toll-like Receptor 2 and 4 in Dental Pulp
TL;DR: Results suggest that TLR-2 may be mainly regulated during the early stage of pulp inflammation triggered by bacterial infection.
Journal ArticleDOI
Physiological and environmental parameters associated with mass spectrometry-based salivary metabolomic profiles
Masahiro Sugimoto,Masahiro Sugimoto,Masahiro Sugimoto,Juri Saruta,Chisa Matsuki,Masahiro To,Hiromi Onuma,Miku Kaneko,Tomoyoshi Soga,Masaru Tomita,Keiichi Tsukinoki +10 more
TL;DR: Analysis of saliva metabolite profiles in 155 subjects with reasonable oral hygiene provided further insight into the diversity and stability of salivary metabolomic profiles, as well as the generalizability of disease-specific biomarkers.
Journal ArticleDOI
Schwannoma of the mental nerve: usefulness of preoperative imaging: a case report.
TL;DR: MRI and ultrasonography revealed that the tumor was connected to the mental nerve, and the pathological diagnosis was Antoni type A schwannoma, which has no sign of recurrence 1 year after surgery.
