Journal ArticleDOI
Thickness-dependent autophobic dewetting of thin polymer films on coated substrates.
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that the wetting behavior of a thin liquid film on top of a solid substrate may be effectively controlled with the insertion of a secondary liquid film, poly(4-vinyl pyridine) (P4VP), underneath the primary film.
Journal ArticleDOI
High Density Display of an Anti-Angiogenic Peptide on Micelle Surfaces Enhances Their Inhibition of αvβ3 Integrin-Mediated Neovascularization In Vitro.
Rajini Nagaraj,Trevor Stack,Sijia Yi,Benjamin Mathew,Kenneth R. Shull,Evan A. Scott,Mathew T. Mathew,Divya Bijukumar +7 more
TL;DR: Valency-dependent enhancement in the therapeutic efficacy of a bioactive peptide following conjugation to nanoparticle surfaces is demonstrated and presented as a possible treatment alternative to anti-VEGF antibody therapy with decreased side effects and more versatile options for controlled delivery.
Journal ArticleDOI
Elasticity, fracture and thermoreversible gelation of highly filled physical gels.
Peter L. Drzal,Kenneth R. Shull +1 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors describe a physically associating triblock copolymer-based gel that exhibits a reversible transition between solid and liquid states at a temperature of approximately 55°C.
Journal ArticleDOI
Neutron-scattering by multiblock copolymers of structure (a-b)(n)-a
TL;DR: In this paper, a multiblock copolymerization of deuterated and classical styrene monomers with bifunctional initiators is described. But the agreement between theory and experiment is excellent and, surprisingly, the height of the maximum of the curves: scattered intensity versus scattering angle, does not depend on the number of blocks.
Journal ArticleDOI
Electrochemically Induced Film Formation on CoCrMo Alloy for Hip Implant Application
Shelley Kerwell,D. Baer,Elizabeth F. Martin,Yifeng Liao,Markus A. Wimmer,Kenneth R. Shull,Mathew T. Mathew +6 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a film that mimics tribolayer is generated on CoCrMo alloy surface through electrochemical treatment, which is evaluated by electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) technique.
