Electronic quantum dot states induced through photon emission
C. Schulhauser,Alexander Högele,Richard J. Warburton,Alexander O. Govorov,Khaled Karrai,Jorge M. Garcia,Brian D. Gerardot,Pierre Petroff +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the charging state of a quantum dot was tuned electrostatically in a field effect structure, and the neutral exciton as well as the negatively singly, doubly and triply charged excitons, namely the X 0, X 1, X 2, X 3, X 4, X 5, X 6 and X 7, were investigated.

Method for the production of a probe tip, particularly for near-field optical microscopy, having a desired aperture
Khaled Karrai,F Bickel +1 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a method for the production of a probe tip for optical examinations, particularly for near-field optical microscopy, having a desired aperture, wherein at least one optically transparent intermediate layer (14) is provided in a light conducting fiber (12) with a peripheral surface (12c) tapering towards the free end thereof between said peripheral surface and an optically non-transparent layer (18/20) that is applied on the peripheral surface, was proposed.
Book ChapterDOI
A Novel Method Of Measuring Light Absorption On A Self-Assembled Single Quantum Dot
Benito Alén,Benito Alén,F Bickel,A. Hoegele,Khaled Karrai,Richard J. Warburton,Pierre Petroff,Juan P. Martínez-Pastor +7 more
TL;DR: In this article, the excitonic interband optical transitions within single InAs self-assembled quantum dots can be directly observed in a transmission experiment and the oscillator strength, homogeneous linewidth and fine structure splitting in a collection of such individual resonances are investigated.
