TL;DR: A cost benefit and cost effectiveness analysis of influenza vaccination among the elderly indicated that vaccination would result in net savings of $71 for each elderly person vaccinated and resulted in the prevention of 9 deaths per 1000 persons vaccinated, which translated into $810 per life-year gained.
